Doctors Watched a Ballgame While Patient Suffered Painful Erection... - 


A bus driver is suing Yale-New Haven Hospital, saying staff at an affiliated facility failed to promptly treat a painful erection and watched a baseball game on television while he waited.


Daren Scott of Brockton, Massachusetts, is seeking $2 million in his federal lawsuit against the hospital.


The lawsuit says Scott was diagnosed before the incident with recurrent priapism, a persistent painful erection unrelated to sexual stimulation.


Scott said he checked into an emergency medical facility affiliated with the hospital in 2009 and explained he was in great pain but was told to wait.


He said staff, including physicians, watched a baseball game.


Scott said he was later taken to the hospital and waited another four hours for treatment.


The hospital denies the allegations, saying Scott was negligent in failing to seek immediate
