Local police and federal officials were searching for a potentially dangerous container at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix Sunday night after explosives disappeared during a training exercise, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.
A blue Igloo cooler with the letters “CB” written in white on the cooler’s bottom were apparently taken during the exercise on Friday.
Inside the container were two half-pound tubes of Cast Booster explosives, a type of explosive that’s used in mining throughout the state.
Police told MyFoxPhoenix.com the explosives are very stable and cannot be detonated without additional equipment, but they are still hoping to recover them.
