RIM announces new BlackBerrys - all on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system - 


Research In Motion announced today that it plans to put five new smartphones in the hands of consumers.
The company says it is bringing out two new models of the BlackBerry Bold and three of the BlackBerry Torch — all on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system.
A company news release doesn’t specify a time for the rollout, but says it will be the largest in RIM’s history, involving more than 225 “carriers and distribution partners” around the world.
The new Bolds, models 9900 and 9930, will be the thinnest BlackBerrys ever, the news release says. The new Torch models 9850 and 9860 offer users all-touch smartphones with the largest display in the BlackBerry family. The new Torch 9810 has a large display and slide-out keyboard.
